Choir on Fire

My son is an amazing musician and talented teacher. He is the choral director at one of our high schools and also directs two auditioned children's choirs -- a young women's choir and a high school choir -- composed of talented singers from the surrounding area. He is fondly regarded by his students and widely respected by his peers.

This painting captures him and his choir doing what they do best -- singing with their whole hearts. As I was painting this it seemed as if his baton came to life and was on fire -- sending his passion for music to his students and them returning it to him.
