This painting is a depiction of the challenging Bully Pulpit Golf Course, located near Medora, North Dakota.  It is ranked as one of America's 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses. Golf.com describes it this way: Some courses impose themselves on the landscape; the Bully Pulpit Golf Course--surrounded by the dramatic North Dakota Badlands--conforms to the landscape. It is golf the way nature intended.

This is a view of Hole #16 in the 18-hole course. I used many layers of palette knife texture to capture the look and feel of the rugged yet breathtakingly beautiful terrain.
