The director of a symphony orchestra sets the tone for the interpretation of the piece.
In this painting, I capture the Maestro in a particularly lovely moment. Every musician's eye was on her as she led the orchestra through a tempo change and into one of the highlights of the performance. You can see by the expression on her face that something beautiful is about to happen.
