Moonlight Pas de Deux

This romantic piece speaks to so many people. I posted its stages as a work in progress on my social media accounts, and the positive comments were wonderful!

The starry night look to the sky, the flowing costumes, the emotion on their faces, and the beautiful ballet pose seems to appeal to people in many different ways.

I did not originally plan to have them dancing on water, but when I got to that point, it just came together. I love the reflection and the almost surreal feeling of a couple in love being able to float above all earthly boundaries.
